About Crocs
Crocs shoes, those brightly colored, super comfortable, and undeniably unique footwear, have an intriguing tale that stretches from the United States to the UK and beyond. Let’s dive into the world of Crocs and uncover the colorful history of these iconic shoes.
In the early 2000s, three friends, Scott Seamans, Lyndon Hanson, and George Boeddecker Jr., united over their love for the water and an innovative shoe idea. While sailing in the Caribbean, they stumbled upon a distinctive kind of boat shoe created by Foam Creations, a Canadian company. These shoes were made from a material called Croslite, which was lightweight, comfortable, and perfect for boating. Intrigued and inspired, the trio decided to acquire the rights to manufacture shoes using this Croslite material. That decision marked the birth of Crocs shoes.
